Our Story & Purpose

Founded in 2017, we specialise in administration services with over 80 employees we are usually based in one dedicated and focused office in Cape Town. However due to the challenges that the world has faced we have been able to keep the team safe by embracing flexibility and each individual has been capable of producing work in the safety of their homes.

Intembeko was started to fulfil the needs of its founding clients and in the process became one of the first black managed and black owned investment administrators in South Africa.

The solutions provided are customised and integrated into each client’s business model. We currently assist our clients in administering over R315 billion in retail assets primarily through traditional back office capabilities.

The team boasts decades of industry experience and is passionate about our space in the savings value chain. Being a new player in the market we have the advantage of choosing best of breed, trusted systems with less legacy than incumbents. We spend immense time focusing on technology and our servicing approach whilst expending tremendous effort on cultivating our business culture.

The lack of legacy has already enabled the presence of world class service. Despite initial successes the business understands that there remains opportunity to constantly learn, improve, grow and provide value in our space in the savings value chain.
